Short History
The Bara family has cultivated their vines in Bouzy since 1833. In 1929 they joined the Bouzy cooperative. Paul Bara introduced estate bottling in the 1950s and in 1965 he added a vertical press.
What Makes Bara Unique
Bouzy terroir – Strong Pinot Noir-based wines with ripe structure.
Hands-on production – Whole-bunch pressing, stainless steel fermentation, no malolactic fermentation except for rare cuvées.
Low dosage complexity – NV dosage around 7 g/L, long lees aging.
Signature Style
Ripe, structured Pinot Noir Champagnes with textural depth and elegance.
