Champagne Deutz – Founded in 1838 Champagne Tour

Short History
Deutz was established in 1838 by William Deutz and Pierre‑Hubert Geldermann in Ay. Initially a negociant, it purchased and bottled cuvées early on. It became one of the founding members of the Syndicat des Grandes Marques in 1882. Though it didn’t own vineyards at first, it later acquired land post-WWI. In 1983 it was acquired by Louis Roederer and became part of their portfolio under the Rouzaud family in 1993.

What Makes Deutz Unique
Heritage & Location – Historic headquarters in Ay with connected winery, cellars, and estate vineyards in the domaine.
